AZMIZAM ABDUL RASHID is working as Deputy Chief Executive (CEO), Head of Knowledge Platform and Partnerships in URBANICE MALAYSIA: Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Cities and Urban Wellbeing under Ministry of Housing and local Government. He is holding Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Development Science (Urban Economic) focus on The Efficient Urban Governance to Enhance Economy Competitiveness in Kuala Lumpur City-Region. He has more than 25 years experiences in urban and regional planning with major involvement in: Malaysia SDG Cities Roadmap, Implementation of New Urban Agenda, Malaysia Cities Preparedness for 4th Industrial Revolution (Malaysia Cities 4.0), Malaysia Society 5.0, Landuse Planning, City Development Planning, Sustainability Assessment for Projects and Programmes, Sustainable City and Healthy City Programme. He has attended an attachment programme with Globalisation and World Cities (GaWC) Network, Loughborough University, United Kingdom in 2009. His research on urban governance and sustainable cities have been published in various local and international journals such as Malaysian Townplan Journal, GEOGRAFIA – Malaysian Journal of Society and Space, Global Journal of Human Social Science Arts & Humanities, World Applied Sciences Journal (WASJ), Asian Profile, Asia’s International Journal and Asian Social Science.
