IR OTHMAN is a Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate and has experience in the construction industry for more than thirty years. He started working with a consultant company based in Kuala Lumpur and was involved in designing and supervising the construction of the North-South Expressway until completion. He later joined the concessionaire highway company of the Projek Lebuhraya Utara Selatan Bhd (“PLUS”) and was entrusted to look after the maintenance and management of the whole stretch of the North-South Highway. After leaving PLUS in 1995, he established his own Consultancy Firm, and among other prominent projects spearheaded by him were the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Kajang Traffic Dispersal Highway (SILK), KLIA Southern Support Zone, and Damansara Transit Route.
