The 29th National Real Estate Convention (29th NREC) will be a virtual convention - we understand the inhibitions around being in a crowded convention setting, so we decided to bring the buzz of the convention to your living room or office space in the current situation, but it’s not like any real estate virtual convention you’ve experienced before. Our platform gives event participants an experience as close to an in-person convention - to re-enact the experience of browsing around the exhibition, discovering more information and making contacts.

About Virtual 29th NREC

The 29th National Real Estate Convention presents to you an unconventional way of looking at property. In the changing times, the old business models no longer hold. Airbnb is fast encroaching into the hotel industry, virtual offices and co-working model provides an alternative to traditional offices, traditional retailing is competing with online retail. One has to think outside the box and have a 180° change in looking at property in order to survive. The 29th NREC with the theme “Re-thinking Property: Thinking Outside the Box” discusses how we should relook at property, be it investment, development or services. The 29th NREC is certainly a virtual convention not to be missed.

Going All Virtual for 2021

The spread of the COVID-19 has placed the entire world in an unprecedented situation. For the past 28 years the convention has been organised physically, while we were hopeful that we could meet in person by March – in view of the Government of Malaysia’s latest announcement for MCO 2.0 and MKN’s stringent Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for organising of events such as conventions, meetings, seminars, workshops, courses, training and conferences – our highest priority, however, is to proactively take all necessary precautions regarding the health and safety of everyone in attendance and the community at large as well as practicing social distancing, thereby we have decided to transition to an all-virtual event.

The virtual convention will be a great opportunity to expand our reach. In the current situation, it is more important than ever to come together as a community to learn from each other and enhance our knowledge during this challenging time – together to learn, adapt and innovate. We are confident that 29^th NREC will deliver on its promise of being the best annual event for all the Valuers, Real Estate Agents, Property Managers and we look forward to welcoming you online!
