In this session, Ryan, Taufiq and Munirah will have a discussion on the progress of the urbanisation of Malaysian cities and changes around the world towards the future. We hope to explore ideas of what a smarter sustainable future of Malaysia looks like. We hope to cover ideas on ongoing issues like Mobility & Development, Climate Change & Risk Disaster, Supply chain and even food security.
Ryan Kang is the Founder of a technology company called UnBound in 2017 (previously known as UnBound Ignited by Celcom). UnBound, based in Malaysia & Australia is a technology company specialising in the development of technology such as Augmented Reality (AR), Game Publishing, Mobile Applications, Near Field Communication (NFC) and 5G Infrastructure Technology. UnBounds flagship Internet of Things(IoT) Systems are deeply rooted in educational, experiential retail, property, telecommunications, travel and
marketing sectors.
Taufiq Nazarudin is a multidisciplinary professional with 10 years of experience in various fields, including Architecture & Urban Design, Smart Cities Technology, Cultural and Academia. He is the founder of Designframework Sdn Bhd, a comprehensive Urban Development and Techlab that provides solutions for Urban Development, Research, and Smart City Technology. He read architecture at the Oxford School of Architecture and at Universiti Teknologi MARA. He is a finalist in the National MyHackathon2020 by Cradlefund promoting a Smart City Technology based on Urban Data Engine. Some of his notable works in Architecture & Urban Design include the design of Pasar Seni, Bukit Bintang, Merdeka, and Muzium MRT Stations, Kampong Bharu Comprehensive Development Masterplan (2016) and Bukit Bintang- Imbi Master Plan(2018). Additionally, Taufiq currently leads the graduate architects in impact making as the Chair of PAMNEXT Graduate Architect Committee 22-23, and a PAM Council Member 22-23.
Sr Munirah Maarof of Vince Chong Partnership, the current Chair of Sports and Social of the Property Surverying Division of RISM. She practices as a lawyer in particular, intellectual property and information technology, and holds a second hat as an intangible asset valuer and is also a certified Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) trainer.
